Café De Sigaar (translated: Café The Cigar) opened on 30 June 2008. A funny date, as this is the date that the national smoking ban in the hospitality industry took place. The café is known among Stadjers – Gronings for: ‘the inhabitants of Groningen city centre’ – for its quality, hospitality and history.
